Lotus Herbals Tinted Moisturizer – A Sour contender in my Purrfect Foundation Quest!

5 Jul

For a long time now, I have been looking for that one product that will fit under My #ForEverydayWear Category Because, While I might have found some great warriors in the foundation/TM’s & BB Cream departments, I still have not found that Everyday Wear Base.

I tell you Babe, On My Quest I have realized MAC’s Studio Fix Foundation is my knight in shining armor & Neutrogena’s Healthy Foundation is my most adored cutie,  But while I am on that quest….there have been a series of sour flings & Lotus Herbals Tinted Moisturizer is one such Dude with whom my Love Affair turned Sour ;) Lets get to the bit by bit analysis of why my fling turned sour with….

Mr. Lotus Herbals Nutraglow Tinted Moisturizer…..

Lotus Herbals Tinted Moisturizer

Lotus Herbals Nutraglow Tinted Moisturizer Review

Lotus Herbals Nutra Glow Daily Tinted Moisturizer Review

I will cut right to the chase nd say….Lotus Herbals Tinted Moisturizer is probably a better fit for dry skin-types. It is certainly not for All the Skin-types like it has been tagged on the bottle. My Skin type is Normal-Combination & Lotus Herbals Tinted Moisturizer is a tad too oily for me. The Tinted Moisturizer absorbs well & moisturizes my skin well but post application, It looks like it did nothing! Well, It does imparts a subtle glow but apart from that I see no difference  :( No coverage & No evenness of skin!

Tinted Moisturizers are not supposed to deliver excellent coverage but they are supposed to deliver some & Lotus Herbal’s Tinted Moisturizer does not deliver any! To sum it up post application, I don’t feel any difference. :( Moreover the moisturizer turns my Combination skin kinda oily in a matter of 3 hours & delivers an average staying power of 5-6 hours at the top

The only way I can think of employing this TM is under a Compact/Powder as a moisturizing base.  If you have a dry-normal skin-type whoeze not looking for too much of coverage, this might work for you but anywhere from combination to oily skintypes, will find it too oily!

Lotus Herbals Nutraglow Tinted Moisturizer for Oily skin

Lotus Herbals Tinted Moisturizer for Oily skin
But NOT everything about this Dude is Sour…..Some of the sweet aspects are that Lotus Herbals Tinted Moisturizer is enriched with the benefits of Aloe Vera, Hibiscus &  Calendula Extracts & the TM has a SPF of 25The Tinted Moisturizer spreads quite easily because of its medium consistency which is neither thick nor runny.  The Tinted Moisturizer is housed in a glass bottle equipped with a squeeze pump

 The Sweet Aspects

  • Delivers a Subtle Glow
  • Light-weight Formula
  • Moisturizes the Skin well in the dry areas
  • SPF of 25
  • Enriched with Candula Extracts, Aloe Vera & Hibiscus

The Not so Sweet Aspects

  • Not Suitable for Everday Wear – Can be used under a compact though
  • Will not conceal Problematic areas like Blemishes & Redness
  • Very minimal Coverage
  • Gets Oily on the T-zones within 3-4 hours
  • Not suitable for Combination to Oily Skin-types
  • Staying Power is quite low – As low as 3-4 hours
  • Contains Parabens
  • Slightly expensive for a drugstore

Lotus Herbals’s Tinted Moisturizer moisturizes well & imparts a subtle glow to the skin. The Sweet aspects continue with the benefits of special ingredients like Candula Extracts, Aloe Vera, Hibiscus & SPF 25 but that’s where it all ends. Bcoz Lotus Herbals TM offers no coverage & tends to be a tad oily on my Combination-oily Skin. Not Recommended Especially for Combination to Oily Skin-types & Bcoz it does not delivers the claims it makes!
