I am pretty sure I squealed the first time I laid my eyes on Tanjore Rush! B’coz look @ those gorgeous colors babe ~ There is a beautiful bright purple, a medium olive green, a red under-toned bronze & a beautiful bright yellow gold here. All of the shades in this quad are shimmery to the core…….Actually all the Lakme 9 to 5 Eyeshadow quads are shimmery & pearly in finish. I have Desert Rose from this range which is perfect for creating a more Indianized festive makeup look & then there is Tanjore Rush which is all about taking one shade or all to mix n match….Say you are feeling monochrome bright purple lids & smokey bronze on the waterline or all bronze on the lid with a olive green pop onto the waterline! Really the world is your oyster & since there are no rules to makeup…..
I added a bright purple onto the inner half of the lid, the rest is olive green smoked with bronze on the outer corner & the crease with a bit more bronze under the water line & the yellow gold onto the inner corners.
I love the way these blend with each other & the way they apply with the utmost ease. The texture is very buttery & the pigmentation is chrrazzzyiieeee ~ It really depends on the look that you are trying to create but they are pretty pigmented! When it comes to the staying power, upon a good primer these stay on pretty well say, 8 hours or so before I see any fading or creasing (I generally use Inglot’s Base Primer these days to create my looks these days.)
The only downfall I see in these shadows is the immense fall-out ~ They will apply well but you will see a lot of fallout especially with the bronze shadow of Tanjore Rush so I make sure to do my eye makeup before the rest of it when I am using these quads. Other than that, I think that these are absolutely amazing & the price tag is on-point @ 550 bucks b’coz you get a great quality & 4 beautifully pigmented stunning shades in 1 Lakme 9 to 5 Quad! 🙂
