Now until & unless your like my sis who would think BB stands for Blueberry smoothie (She is the biggest foodie that you will ever come across), its not possible that you must have not heard about the BB creams. Its raining BB creams everywhere and recently they have been pouring down in India too! BB is essentially a blemish base cream that is supposed to have an all in one factor! Maybelline's BB cream is not a typical BB cream but hey, it still has a ton of genuine dimensions.
I have never had good luck with tinted moisturizers, I have a combination oily skin & though there are several foundations that worked very well on me, I wanted something light & dewy! Every time I used a moisturizer, be it Aveeno's or Covergirl's, it made my skin so oily making me look like an oil slick, let alone the dewyness!
I honestly did not have a whole lot of expectations from Maybelline's BB cream. I thought it will be one of those products that I will be brickbatting about. Turns out, big surprises comes out in adorable teal & glass pink packaging. I actually like this product & for a change it does not makes me feel totally oily except for the slight oiliness on the T-zones but honestly its a whole lot better than all the ones that I have used so far! (For reference: I have a combination skin, oily on the T zones & normal elsewhere).
Oily skin gals should step up from this (It might turn out to be a little too oily for you & make the face a whole lot shiny) but for those with normal to dry skin gals, this one would definitely work for you. If you have a combination skin like me, it turns slightly oily after a few hours, say 3-4 hours on the T-zones but otherwise I have had no issues with it!
Consistency, Application & Finish:
The consistency is kind of thick, not at all thin & runny, so you need to blend it really well. For the 1st time ever that I applied it, I was a little scared, it made me look like casper the cartoon ghost (I thought this was another big fiasco like Maybelline's Dream Matte Mousse). It turns out that the cream just takes some time to seep in & give the natural finish! The final finish once blended was very even but the BB cream needs to be given a rest of 10-15 min & then the whitish layer disappears to leave that natural finish.
Coverage & Longevity:
The coverage is not much, If you are planning to hide away those blemish marks & acne scars, Maybelline's BB cream does not works in that area! However the star point is that it makes the skin look very even & refreshed! Love that! (I guess that's exactly what was looking for) When it comes to longevity it stays on for a pretty good deal of approximately 6.5 to 7 hours & the cream feels hydrating enough for that amount of time! However after a matter of around 4 to 4.5 hours, the BB cream tends to turn a little but oily around the T zones, so if you have a totally oily skin, this might make you shiny in a couple of hours of time.
Along with that adorable teal & glass pink packaging, the fragrance too is very refreshing, Its kind of subtly minty!! Aaahh...Refreshing Mint! What's next to love is that it comes with an added SPF of 21. So no needs for a sunscreen beneath Maybelline's BB cream!
|(Notice the whiteness in the blended area, that disappears in 10-15 mins)|

Corals With Blues Rating
Within a Gist: Maybelline's BB cream is a thick consistency cream that takes a little while to seep in & give that dewy finish. It offers very little coverage but stays on a for a good deal of time for approximately 7 hours. It does turns oily on the T zones in a matter of few hours (maybe 4 to 4.5 hours) but I can live with that. Besides that, totally love the product, and you get a good amount of 18 ml's in 199 bux. I think its a great buy!
Will I repurchase: I think I have already answered that but Yes!! I will go for another tube for sure!
Price/Quantity: 199 INR for 18 ml.
