Revlon Nail lacquer in Blue Lagoon; Review & Swatches

Revlon's Blue Lagoon Review 

Blue Lagoon is a soft baby blue with fine silver shimmer. I will keep it short & curt. Love the shade, Hate the quality. This is the first time Revlon has disappointed me with it's quality! The quality is just crappy! Initially I thought I received a dud, but after reading lots of reviews on Makeup alley, I realized the quality is indeed bad!

Let's start with the consistency, The consistency is so thin & runny that it allmost runs & settles on the nail edges. It's hard to really spread the nail paint evenly, I tried to apply this 3 times & everytime I applied it, It just didn't apply evenly, Next it streaks real bad & the last, with 2 coats Blue lagoon smudges so much. It turned opaque in 2 coats itself but the smudging was so bad. 

I really liked the shade, It's a very soft shimmering baby blue, Minus the shimmer, Blue lagoon is supposed to be a dupe for Chanel's limited edition Riva, To see them side by side, go to Carinae L'etoile's polish stash. But the thin & runny formula doesn't allows the polish to spread evenly. Revlon nail paints generally stay on for an average amount of 4-5 days with minimal tip wear.

Within a Gist

Even if you are desperately in love with the shade (like I was & I know it is easy to be), I will not recommend it. Blue lagoon is simply pretty until bottled, It's baby blue perfection in the bottle. but when applied it's consistency is so thin making the application the hardest part.
